The international Conference on Green Financing in Central Europe – slated for October 12 – will address green recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
Representatives of the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) and other international partner institutions are scheduled to take part in the event.
Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Francesco La Camera will deliver a speech during the conference alongside Special Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of China Ma Jun, CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative Sean Kidney, and EBRD Managing Director Mattia Romani.
Three additional events – relevant to the conference’s theme – are also organized.
On 13 October, a scientific conference will be held by the Corvinus University of Budapest – with support of the MNB – under the title Central-European Scientific Conference on Green Financial Matters and Sustainable Development.
From 13 to 16 October, the Budapest Institute of Banking will – in tandem with the London Stock Exchange Group Academy – launch an international training on the integration of environmental, social sustainability aspects for stock exchange issuers and investors.
Moreover, the European Commission’s Round Table of Energy Efficiency for Hungary will convene on October 13.
