Careem spearheads campaign to educate children
Careem Egypt has joined hands with Misr El Kheir Foundation to launch a campaign for educating children in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education.
Careem urged its customers to proceed with their charity works after the holy fasting month of Ramadan through contributing to this campaign under the hashtag #YallaLetsDonate #makeadifference #.
The company said its customers earn points on every ride and they can use these points to redeem rewards or give donations.
During Ramadan, Careem launched a campaign to donate through Careem Rewards to build Ahl Misr Hospital or donate to Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation.
Careem has remarkable CSR activities in Egypt. The company has cooperated with Egypt Food Bank to offer meals for free for hundreds of poor Egyptian families.
The company has also contributed to a one-million-blanket campaign to help thousands of Egyptians enjoy warmness in winter.
Careem has also cooperated with Abul Rish hospital to collect donations to help treating children through channeling two pounds of each ride having the promocode of the donation campaign to support Abul Rish Hospital.
Careem has also collaborated with Baheya Foundation For Treatment Of Breast Cancer in launching a campaign for spreading awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.
The campaign was meant to encourage the largest number of women to undergo check-up for free within the framework of the one-month campaign. Moreover, the company decided to bear the expenses of treating any female Careem captain or wives of Careem captains who proved positive for the disease.
The company has also worked on training handicapped people and securing jobs for them.
