Senior Sustainability Officer at Arab African International Bank (AAIB) Dalia Akmal said the bank earmarked EGP 40 million to support irregular workers during the coronavirus crisis within the framework of an initiative of the Federation Of Egyptian Banks.
She made the remarks on Monday during the 10th annual Forum for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development – known as CSR Forum – which was held under the theme of “Responsible Investment Gate for Recovering and Overcoming Crises.”
She said the AAIB started to amalgamate environmental dangers within the framework of its CSR strategy.
The bank works on promoting financial inclusion and creating jobs through revenues of green financing activities, she noted.
She added that good management of the coronavirus crisis contributed to curbing the spread of the virus in addition t offering needed help for patients in governorates, especially most needy areas.
More than 6,000 personal protection equipment were distributed among doctors in hospitals in Fayyoum and the Upper Egypt governorate of Menya.
