Hassan Moustafa, Chairman of the Egypt Business Solutions Summit and Founder of CSR Egypt, said 95% of job opportunities are linked to human capabilities to utilize and rely on technology.

Addressing the opening session of the 3rd Egypt Business Solutions Summit, he explained that the creative economy is not a novel idea as it first mooted in 2008. During that period, several gaps in the creative economy surfaced, topped by the link between humans, machines and innovation tools related to human-machine interaction. This has prompted discussions about introducing the concept of the creative economy relevant to Egypt’s sustainable development goals.

Moustafa said this requires digital transformation and application of standards for utilizing human capabilities to launch a different type of knowledge-based creative economy.

The CSR founder pointed out that all international institutions, especially those affiliated with the United Nations that support innovation, manufacturing standards, local resource utilization, and opportunity creation, require clear standards on how to harness human resources and transform them into productive forces.
Consequently, various concepts have been established that align with sustainable development standards, creating new investment opportunities by addressing existing needs.

Moustafa highlighted that Egypt has 107 million citizens, meaning that it has 107 million opportunities and capable minds that can create a competitive and diverse economy with an aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in various dimensions.

He noted that Egypt possesses infrastructure, human capabilities, and genuine empowerment for all segments of society at all levels.

He expounded that countries rely on exporting cultures, like in Japan and France, while Arab nations are creating a new identity based on the soft power.

He asserted that an economy depending on machines and factories has become a traditional tool that will vanish over time. With 70% of the Egyptian population being youth, Egypt has significant youth potentials and rich cultural diversity.

He highlighted that most of professionals in technology companies and entrepreneurs in Gulf countries are Egyptians.

Moustafa pointed out that growth rates of small businesses have significantly increased over the past five years at all levels.

He indicated that this year’s summit aims to localize concepts of the creative economy to help maintain resilience and balance of the national economy, and enable it to face global challenges while securing an investment-attractive environment.

He added that the summit seeks to optimally utilize human capital in line with global changes, positioning the Egypt Business Solutions Summit as an important platform for showcasing innovations and exploring new opportunities in the creative economy, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and supporting development in Egypt.
