The Awards have been supported by the United Nation’s Global Compact since its inception in 2008 and from 2014-2016 it was held under the auspices of the League of Arab States for three years consecutively and in collaboration with UNEP in the wake of a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in October 2014 outlining the Award’s role in the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab world.
Two valuable outcomes of the Arabia CSR Awards are the Arabia CSR Awards Forum and the Best Practices Publication, both which have served to educate and inspire sustainable practices amongst public and private organizations across the Arab world.
