OPPO increased renewable electricity use across its manufacturing operations to nearly 70% in 2025, expanded recycled content in smartphone packaging to 43%, and invested more than $5.4 million in public welfare initiatives, marking another year of progress toward its long-term sustainability<\/a> goals.<\/p>\n

The achievements were outlined in the company’s 2025 Sustainability Report<\/a>, which tracks progress across operations, environmental protection, employee wellbeing, responsible innovation, and ecosystem partnerships.<\/p>\n

Accelerating low-carbon operations:<\/h4>\n

Environmental performance remained a key focus during 2025 as OPPO continued reducing the footprint of its operations and products.<\/p>\n

The company completed life cycle assessments for 23 smartphone models to measure environmental impacts across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, use, and recycling.<\/p>\n

It also increased recycled wastepaper to approximately 43% of smartphone packaging materials by weight while cutting operational carbon emissions by 1.22% year on year.<\/p>\n

Renewable electricity accounted for nearly 70% of power consumption across OPPO’s manufacturing bases, supporting its transition toward a more resource-efficient production model.<\/p>\n

Technology with social impact:<\/h4>\n

Beyond environmental performance, OPPO expanded digital accessibility by enhancing more than 30 core ColorOS applications with features supporting users with visual, hearing, and motor impairments.<\/p>\n

The company also continued investing in research and development, with patent applications surpassing 118,000 and granted patents exceeding 66,000 by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

To strengthen digital health innovation, OPPO launched its largest global sports health research facility in Binhaiwan, focusing on exercise science, cardiovascular health, sleep, lifestyle management, and AI-powered health technologies.<\/p>\n
